To better serve the Las Vegas community, the UNLV Marjorie Barrick Museum will adopt new hours of operation effective July 1, 2011. The new hours extend the Museum’s availability further into the evening and through the weekend, when visitors can take advantage of free weekend parking in the lot immediately in front of the Museum.
The new hours are as follows:
In addition to providing more convenient access to the museum’s temporary exhibitions of modern and contemporary art and its stunning collection of pre-Hispanic Mesoamerican ceramics, Mexican dance masks, and Southwestern native crafts, the new hours will allow the Museum to host more events for families as well as for working adults. With this change, says Museum Registrar Dustin M. Wax, “We look forward to being able to engage with a larger and more diverse cross-section of the community than ever before.”
