The Donna Beam Gallery is home to the Dorothy and Herbert Vogel 50x50 Collection, which is a selection of fifty works pulled from the extensive Vogel Collection. Over the past forty plus years, New York collectors, Dorothy and Herbert Vogel, assembled an art collection in excess of 4,000 objects: drawings, paintings, sculpture, and other works. Motivated by the desire to share their collection with the public, a program was developed whereby fifty works were gifted to one institution in each of the fifty states. This program became known as Vogel 50x50. In 2009, a selection of fifty works was offered to the Donna Beam Gallery, and they were gladly accepted. The Vogel gift boasts examples of work by such notables as Stephen Antonakos, Lynda Benglis, Edda Renouf and Richard Tuttle. Exhibitions of the Vogel 50x50 Collection are seen regularly in the Donna Beam Gallery.
