"Ice Next Time" in the news

Stephen Hendee’s latest exhibition, “Ice Next Time,” which is currently on display at the Museum (August 27 - October 23), has received several recent reviews from local and national media sources. “Ice Next Time” and “The Textiles of Dark Age Era North America: True Artifacts and Reproductions, From 2026-2280″ imagines human society after an electromagnetic pulse forces apart technology and human progress.

Explore Alternative Photographic Processes

When: Jan. 8, 2012 3 - 5pm

What: Artists talk and closing reception for 'Exploring Photographic Alternatives'.

Join us in this exploration of alternative photographic techniques featuring acclaimed artists Holly Roberts, Darius Kuzmickas, and Vegas local Diane Bush. New Mexico-based Holly Roberts uses paint and collage on photographic prints to create haunting story-scapes. Portland, Oregon’s Darius Kuzmickas creates atmospheric pinhole and camera obscura images. Diane Bush will be displaying her latest series of large bleached photographs, “Blanket of Lies”, bleached by the artist as well as public participants during public events and political protests.

Admission: Event is free and open to the public.

This exhibition is funded, in part, by Cirque du Soleil® Cultural Action Department; and by the Nevada Arts Council, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
